SOLD!!!

Avoid the price spike and the 9 month wait and get a practically new Rush SR.

I just took delivery in October and it’s seen only 4 total days on track in HPDE. I had a personal situation pop up and it needs to go very soon.

There is zero wrong with it and I just added Nuke Air Jacks (low pressure so you don’t need a huge tank at 10000000psi you only need 90psi)

It’s never seen dirt or been off track at all.

Again only selling it because of a personal situation.

New it would cost 63k plus tax plus a 9 month wait. With just spending 5k on the freshly installed air jacks so I’d like to get 57k. Questions just let me know.

Options include:
Race Spec package
Medium seat
LMP wheel
Halo (Trident)
AIM MXS dash
AIM Smarty cam
Braille battery
Braille Charger
Fuel mat
5lbs extinguisher
2inch rollbar extension
Strobe light upgrade
Nuke Air Jacks
Rear view camera

Interested in Rush - How many in SoCal?

Hello all,

I’ve been going deep into every rabbit hole I can find for “healthy” fields in club racing in the SoCal/ Cal region. I currently have an nd Miata that’s caged and nearly ready for ST5 with nasa but the field size in SoCal is unfortunately very small. I’ve had some trouble finding any rush cars on the nasa results for the west coast region and was wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction or if anyone has knowledge of how big the field is in SoCal. Any info helps, thank you.

New member - first question

Hey everyone,
My name is Tim - expecting chassis 298 in the spring. One test drive and decision was made for me (thanks...Bruce...i think).
Really enjoy the learning curve of a new car / platform in all regards.
Couple transmision related question I was thinking about that I am sure can get answered here.
- Does the car have a rev limiter?
- Will it accept a downshift into an over-rev situation (i.e. a PDK Porsche will acknowledge the downshift but block/hold the shift until safe).
- Does auto-blip work both up and down?
Really just curious and figured I'd introduce myself after lurking here for a while

P.S. looking for an open trailer if anyone has suggestions

Finally a Rush owner! Chassis #104

Hey everyone, while I already posted in the Facebook group I figured I’d post to the new member thread here as well. I’m David Harvey and I live in Fayetteville, Texas. After following these cars before the first production model was out I finally have one! I picked her up yesterday and am now planning on learning how to take everything apart for maintenance and service over the winter before next season starts. I look forward to seeing y’all out there soon!

Future new Rush owner

My name is Shawn, I live in southwest Florida and I ordered my Rush in May and can't wait for it to arrive. I am pretty new, have been doing HDPE for a little over 2 years now at Sebring mostly and Homestead as well. I started with a wide body scat pack at first but have switched to an ND2 Miata. I think I will be getting the Rush in December or January and am needing to order a better helmet more suited for an open cockpit. Not sure if this is the right place to ask or not, but just wondering what you guys are using for helmets.

Best Helmet Cam: Insta360 Go3

At Bret's urging, I picked up one of these, an Insta360 Go3:

1723065287431.png
1723065299726.png

The little pod comes out and has its own battery and storage. All you need to do is mount it to your helmet with the little clip mount. You don't need anything other than the clip.

1723065332480.png
1723065393286.png

That's it! It stays on easily with the visor closed (it's stable enough when open, too) and lasts long enough to run a race. In the pic it's a bit cockeyed because I had just put the helmet down.

If you already have a GoPro mount on your helmet, this works nicely.

I haven't run the new Go3S but the Go3 is plenty good enough. I think 4K video is overkill, but I would bet the new version is better on battery at 2.7K resolution.

You can easily then overlay some RaceRender footage:

I have to say, the point of view and video quality is really fantastic. I've tried GoPros mounted on the side, visor, and chin. All produce too much drag. I can't feel the Go3 on my helmet at all. In my opinion, everything except the visor mount makes bad video. I've seen some where you can't see above the steering wheel!

In-helmet systems like the CamBox are good too, but tend to get blurry because of the visor. I don't think they'll fit in an ABP helmet, and I know a lot of yall run that. They do produce better audio. You can cut a little piece of foam and cover the microphone with it, it helps with the wind noise a marginal amount.

I've seen at least one driver mount the base unit in the car using a sticky 3M GoPro mount and adapter. You could then easily wire it into power using a 12V->USBC buck converter. This is probably the most convenient setup, not least of which because you can easily see if you're recording or not!

Help with Assetto Corsa

I'm looking to add the tracks I regularly run to Assetto Corsa. I have found some of the track layouts I
need but not all.
1721576987940.png

This track works fine.

At Sebring, SCCA Central Florida runs a short course several times a year. The start/finish line is
between turns 9 and 10 and runs 10, 11, 12, 13, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 , 8, 9, 10. I have been unable to find a track
file with this layout. Does anyone know of one?

The second is Homestead. NASA and SCCA Florida run different layouts. NASA runs the straits with
the infield in between.
1721577127435.png

This track works fine but only has two layouts.

SCCA Florida runs the roval layout.
1721577334616.png

But when I try to use it the car just floats in space.
1721577414954.png

Does anyone know of a track with the roval that works or know of the settings needed to fix what I have?

Thanks for your help.

Engine and transmission rebuild question

I’m considering purchasing (unsure of either new or used) Rush SR and use it for hpde but I have a question that I have not been able to find an answer.
  • Engine/transmission rebuild - Can I have the engine rebuilt by my locally Suzuki dealer(live in WA State) and transmission rebuild by local transmission or motorcycle shop? Or are there custom modifications done to the engine by RAW that require a RAW certified mechanic?
I understand in order to compete in events the engine needs to be sealed. I don’t plan on competing in events (mainly because there are no events available near me that I’m aware of-hopefully soon), so I’m not concerned about a sealed engine.

I appreciate any feedback anyone can provide.

famous driver loved the rush car!

because of our agreement with the driver I can not say his name or the factory he drives for but trust me I would love to.
when the driver booked a rental I saw his name and said no it could be him.
we ask for the renters driving experience as we do not rent the cars to novice drivers so I get a text with his driving experience with a no I'm not a novice !
my reply was no far from it!
the morning of the event the driver shows up very low key and with all new driving gear from head to toe because he couldn't wear his regular driving gear having his name and the car manufacture he drives for on it. it would be really bad if it got back to the factory he drives for and worse if he was wearing anything with the name on it.

the reason why he was looking to rent a car for the track we went to was because he like I are not big fans of sim's they are a OK tool and are fun but we both prefer to drive a real car on the real track.

He had a total blast driving the rush car. we rent the cars in 100% stock spec trim . we did take out a bit of the understeer but because we rent to such a vast group of different level of drivers we do like the cars to have some just to make the cars safer for the lower level of drivers because understeer is safer than oversteer. he and I both like a car with a bit of oversteer as most drivers do with more experience.

we were talking between run sessions of things we could do to make the car better handling wise. but he did say out of the box as the car is stock it's just fun to drive. the car is very nimble gives great feedback he was also saying you can make the car do what you want it to do very easily .

Generation Differences

Looking for advice in the differences from the 1st gen cars to the current model.
What are upgrades to the 1st gen cars are a "should do" and what upgrades are a "nice addition" but not a "must do"?
Are there any specific problem areas with the early models I should be looking for?
I'm thinking about buying a used car for my first Rush SR to learn with rather than a brand new one.
Any advice offered will be appreciated!
