Price Reduction .... $38K ... For Sale 2023 Rush SR - Located in Texas

It is with great sorrow that I am listing my Rush SR for sale. I bought the car in November 2023 and it's only been on track for a five weekend HPDE events and a few single day outings. Car has been meticulously maintained by Rush of Central Texas. I recently changed the brakes and bought a second set of tires and rims. Car, engine, suspension is in great condition. Never wrecked. Car hasn't been on track since September although I did crank it and drive it around the neighborhood last month. Car had been stored in climate controlled storage. No time to race. Located in Spring Branch, Texas between San Antonio and Austin. Price: 38K Contact Info: James, james.adams18@hotmail.com, 254-290-1984 (text first, I get lots of spam calls).

NASA/SCCA updates for 2026?

I don't do social media and have been to both websites and apparently, I'm not smart enough to find the information.
Is this car able to race in these organizations and if so, and ordered new, what configuration/spec does it have to be?
I have seen some info on required camera set ups and or different transponder set ups?
Maybe I'll just go back to racing Motocross even at 66 yrs old, buy a bike, join the AMA go race, this has to be the most complicated amateur sport in the world to get involved in.....rant over LOL! Any help will be appreciated!

Chassis #303

Took delivery yesterday, drove it from my trailer to the garage, everything was great. Parked it, took off the front clip, left it for about an hour. When I started it back up again the throttle pedal would not work. It moves for and aft, does not increase revs. Curious if this is an issue others have seen and fixed.

Chassis #189 (no longer for sale)

Edit: no longer for sale

Transmission (3rd gear specifically) started making a clicking noise the last day out, which was July 2024, so the car was only running for a couple of months. It's been sitting in my garage for the 1.5 years since, and it needs new transmission components to run again. Picture of gear fragments caught by oil drain plug attached. Damage was not due to lack of maintenance on my part (engine oil had been changed nearly every weekend, including right after the RAW-recommended break-in), but my best guess after discussions with RAW is that several Rush SRs came with defective crate engines from Suzuki, which caused this characteristic 3rd gear clicking. Car has not been run other than to bring it into the pits after the clicking began.
Video of the moment the clicking appeared: Login to view embedded media

Build sheet link: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet...ouid=111133787690051390711&rtpof=true&sd=true

Car has the V2 shocks (but not the expanded reservoirs). Non-Trident rollcage. It also has the clutch bypass switch installed. I'm happy to remove the AIM Smartycam system if you don't want it. I have several spares as well: a box of official nuts and bolts, one front and rear shock, one each of the upper, lower, front, rear arms. Couple boxes of brake pads. Might have more, can send pictures of everything later.

Located in Central New Jersey. Car must be picked up, I no longer own a vehicle capable of towing. The Trailex 7541 is also for sale, includes electric winch and rock guard, $8k.

Full containment seats

Hey everyone, just starting to put things together for the upcoming season and would like any advise/direction on a full containment seat for our car. I'd like to hear what anyone has to say about what brands might work better in the Rush SR. Has anyone utilized a full containment seat in their Rush SR? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Looking forward to the 2026 season. Hope everyone had a great winter.

My car got on fire

Hey everyone,

As some of you may know, my car caught fire this past weekend at Podium Club. In order to avoid any speculation, I decided to share what happened and hopefully help others avoid making the same mistake I did.

After driving my car intensively for three years and putting over 150 hours on it—while still having a strong engine—I decided to send it to Late Entry Motorsport in Kansas for a full refresh. I had also requested that a spare engine I bought on eBay six months ago be installed.

Unfortunately, the engine was not in the condition the seller had listed, and my regret is not opening the box within the 30-day return window. When Scott Donaghue opened the box, he suspected the engine had been involved in an accident due to weld marks near the oil filter. Scott recommended that I wait for my original engine to be rebuilt and set the eBay engine aside. However, without giving much thought to the consequences, I went against his recommendation and decided to move forward. That poor decision caused the weld to crack and leak oil all over the track. Luckily, I managed to trigger the fire suppressor in time and save the car.

Despite being pretty upset about the situation, not only did Scott offer me his spare car for the rest of the day, but the team also told me they would install my rebuilt original engine and get the car ready for the next day. Scott and the entire team—I can’t thank you enough for what you did for me this weekend. Although I didn’t have the best day, you guys truly made my day, and I will never forget the service, support, hospitality, and friendship you showed me.

At midnight, even though I kept insisting that I should go home and that I didn’t need to drive the next day, the whole team stayed up until 2 a.m., committed to finishing the car. The least I could do to show my appreciation was stay with them until they were done.

I chose to send my car to Late Entry Motorsports for a full refresh because of the huge amount of knowledge, tips, recommendations, and professionalism Scott has shown me over the years. I’m so glad I made the right decision, as the car not only looked brand new but was better in every aspect.

Once again, this is why I love RUSH. Every race, the drivers and dealers make us feel like family. I was offered so much help from so many different people that I don’t think any other series compares.

Chassis #55 for sale

2022 Rush SR for sale

Price: $39,999 CAD

Location: Alberta, Canada

Hours: ~62 hours

Selling my 2022 Rush SR, a properly sorted, turn-key car that is ready to run immediately. This is an excellent opportunity to get into a modern sports racer at a meaningful discount versus new.

I am selling as I used this car to obtain my FIA international license. Now that I have the license I’m off to GT racing and no longer can use this platform. This is a great car to get started racing in as it’s spec ready and cheaper than most build outs with Porsche level performance. Awesome platform to practice left foot braking without any electronic controls.

Never had an accident, car has been ran for 3 race seasons and comes with WCMA Racebook logs. I have personally sorted this car to be race ready and have ran it for a complete race season without missing a start or DNF a race due to anything mechanical. 2nd in points over the 2024 season at wcma to show for it which got me my FIA IntC. So a great platform to start racing in :)

Car Highlights
  • 2022 Rush SR chassis #55
  • ~62 hours total runtime
  • Paddle-shift transmission (no-lift upshift / auto-blip downshift)
  • Runs strong, shifts cleanly, new clutch pack put in as well as a spare to be included
  • Comes with all the options when the car was built out… will update list over the holidays.
  • M size OEM seat

This car has been used as intended—track days and racing. It has been maintained properly, warmed correctly, and all mechanical issues addressed when arose. Normal cosmetic wear is present and fully reflected in the price. The car is race ready as it stands and mechanically sound and readt.

Currently stored indoors in climate control.

Also comes with additional parts included in the price:

- New poly front splitter and mounting kit.
- new chain
- new clutch pack
- new set of lug nuts
- additional set of rims and tires. Tires are at 70% off car and 20% on car.
- and some small electrical connectors and other tiny parts that will come with.

Message for questions and I will be updating this listing with more details over the holidays.

I am also willing to sell to USA buyers at the prevailing exchange rate plus shipping costs which can be worked out if it comes to that.

Chassis #205 FOR SALE

I took ownership of her in October 2024 as new. She’s since been used at seven track days so should have approximately 10 hours on her.

Sale includes one new front and one new rear wheel as spares as well as a complete set of extra tires.

Located in northeast PA but could possibly work out delivery to new owner depending on situation.

The car’s been reliable and an absolute blast, but I’m selling to step up to a Radical SR3.

$51,000

Rush Only SCCA Sanctioned Comp School Dec 2-4 @ MSR Houston.

Hey all, if there is anyone needing to get their competition license, there will be a Rush only comp school at MSR Houston, December 2-4 (That's Tuesday-Thursday). You will leave this event with a full competition license, no future provisional periods or races.

Rush of Central Texas will be there to support drivers in the event that repairs are needed in order to keep the cars running, so nobody has to go home early and waste their money in the event of a mechanical issue.

The price is $2350 with your own car. I cannot speak with certainty, but if you do not have a Rush for the event, Rush of Central Texas may have rentals available.

The school requires 6 drivers, and we currently have 5.
If you or anyone you know needs a comp license, sign up, or contact ROCT or MSR Houston. Having an SCCA or NASA license will allow you to race at almost any grassroots motorsport event in the country.

The Ultimate Starter Kit

Ok Rush fanatics...I'm on order for chassis #303, anxiously awaiting the fuel tank solve and wanted to use the time I have prepping my garage and trailer versus pouting about the delay in getting the car. The question is simple, for all of you that already have the car and have raced it, what are the essential and nice to have tools and equipment that I'll need once the car arrives. I'm coming from Spec Miata so I have the basics (jack stands, tool sets etc.) but would like to ensure that I have the right stuff for when the car arrives.

Let me have it! Thanks so much!

Rush Auto Works Status

Hey everyone. Posting this for those of you not in the FB group.

It’s been a week. The family here at RAW is still recovering from the shock of losing our leader and mentor.

We continue on. New motors are arriving shortly and the assembly line continues.

The team is as committed as ever and will be placing full focus on SR orders and parts. The SRX GridLife series will be suspended until next year to focus on the SR. SRXs will continue to be built and tested, and I will be personally ensuring that they are a product RAW can be proud to deliver.

Please reach out to me directly for matters in the future that would typically go to Dave. sreed@rushautoworks.com.

See you all at Gingerman. We will have a greatly reduced presence as the team in the shop focuses on getting cars and parts out. Please come see me or email me if you want to talk.

Thanks!

Let's talk fuel tanks......

I have not been able to find something that clearly states the status of what fuel tanks are standard/required to race SCCA/Gridlife/NASA {I don't do social media, so maybe it's there?). Other than in the parts section for upgrading to the latest spec required by Gridlife and SCCA, maybe that's it? And it does explain it pretty well, I guess NASA is a no go?
If there is something other than that, if I could be directed to it that would be great or could someone from Rush clarify it here.
Also, if one has a car on order what will it come with?
Thx

List for Track Days(?)

Good day everyone. Well, the time has come to get out on track for the first time with my Rush. Although I’ve got about ten or so track days under my belt with various Lotuses, the Rush is completely new and I was wondering if anyone has every made a list for newbies of what one would want to have in the trailer for track days.

For example, how many racing jugs are recommended? Extra wheels with tires mounted, tools, etc…..

Thanks to anyone who chimes in.

Chassis #183 for sale

I am selling Chassis #183 (drive by wire) car. I have used it for 2 HPDE events a one SVRA event (took 1st place) chassis has 14 hours on it, but the motor and transmission have 1 break in hour on them. The transmission lost a gear (Rush wasn’t sure why so they rebuilt everything for me under warranty and resealed the motor). Car is in perfect shape. Sale includes the car, about 8K in spares (was my intention to run it in SVRA but I bought a radical sr3) 2 sets of wheels, a spare set of tires, a brand new set of Hoosiers, a 9 Lives high downforce wing installed (i have the stock wing if you intend to race int he spec series) and a custom made Montrose trailer. Asking $55,000 for all of it. I will even throw in race ramps and a formula jack and a bodywork stand.
The trailer was designed to my specs specifically for the Rush. It has 3 opening walls and e-track the entire length via the Rush specs. It has underfloor storage along with a drill powered winch. The trailer, spares and Rush all together weigh in at 2900 lbs making this towable by even the smallest SUV or truck.
The car is in my enclosed storage at VIR. The trailer is in Orlando Florida. If you live closer to VIR, i will bring the trailer up, if you live closer to Orlando, i will go up and get the car and bring it here.
Thank you!

Race Weekend Checklist

Hey Everyone,
Now that many of you are coming off of the CMP event for the first GridLife RUSH event of the season, I’d like to ask:

What are the things you took and needed (or maybe didn’t need, but were glad you had!)?
and
What are the things you didn’t take but needed?

Anybody have a pack list of tools and spares that they’re rolling to events with that they’d like to share? I’d like to be over-prepared.

GREETINGS TO ALL!

New member and future owner.
Car is on order, and I'd like to thank Jim Lorimer at Revitup my local Rush Dealer for all his guidance and counsel on my purchase.
My first of many questions as I swim in my sea of ignorance on all matters race car related.
Sooooo I'm trailer shopping and it occurred to me that I would definitely want to winch the car in backwards.
How exactly do you line up a car to winch on a trailer that has no reverse?
