Let's talk fuel tanks......

I have not been able to find something that clearly states the status of what fuel tanks are standard/required to race SCCA/Gridlife/NASA {I don't do social media, so maybe it's there?). Other than in the parts section for upgrading to the latest spec required by Gridlife and SCCA, maybe that's it? And it does explain it pretty well, I guess NASA is a no go?
If there is something other than that, if I could be directed to it that would be great or could someone from Rush clarify it here.
Also, if one has a car on order what will it come with?
Thx

List for Track Days(?)

Good day everyone. Well, the time has come to get out on track for the first time with my Rush. Although I’ve got about ten or so track days under my belt with various Lotuses, the Rush is completely new and I was wondering if anyone has every made a list for newbies of what one would want to have in the trailer for track days.

For example, how many racing jugs are recommended? Extra wheels with tires mounted, tools, etc…..

Thanks to anyone who chimes in.

Chassis #183 for sale

I am selling Chassis #183 (drive by wire) car. I have used it for 2 HPDE events a one SVRA event (took 1st place) chassis has 14 hours on it, but the motor and transmission have 1 break in hour on them. The transmission lost a gear (Rush wasn’t sure why so they rebuilt everything for me under warranty and resealed the motor). Car is in perfect shape. Sale includes the car, about 8K in spares (was my intention to run it in SVRA but I bought a radical sr3) 2 sets of wheels, a spare set of tires, a brand new set of Hoosiers, a 9 Lives high downforce wing installed (i have the stock wing if you intend to race int he spec series) and a custom made Montrose trailer. Asking $55,000 for all of it. I will even throw in race ramps and a formula jack and a bodywork stand.
The trailer was designed to my specs specifically for the Rush. It has 3 opening walls and e-track the entire length via the Rush specs. It has underfloor storage along with a drill powered winch. The trailer, spares and Rush all together weigh in at 2900 lbs making this towable by even the smallest SUV or truck.
The car is in my enclosed storage at VIR. The trailer is in Orlando Florida. If you live closer to VIR, i will bring the trailer up, if you live closer to Orlando, i will go up and get the car and bring it here.
If interested please contact Sean Monett @ seanm7454@gmail.com
Thank you!

Race Weekend Checklist

Hey Everyone,
Now that many of you are coming off of the CMP event for the first GridLife RUSH event of the season, I’d like to ask:

What are the things you took and needed (or maybe didn’t need, but were glad you had!)?
and
What are the things you didn’t take but needed?

Anybody have a pack list of tools and spares that they’re rolling to events with that they’d like to share? I’d like to be over-prepared.

GREETINGS TO ALL!

New member and future owner.
Car is on order, and I'd like to thank Jim Lorimer at Revitup my local Rush Dealer for all his guidance and counsel on my purchase.
My first of many questions as I swim in my sea of ignorance on all matters race car related.
Sooooo I'm trailer shopping and it occurred to me that I would definitely want to winch the car in backwards.
How exactly do you line up a car to winch on a trailer that has no reverse?

Potential Buyer - Running Cost and Safety Questions

Hi everyone,

I’m seriously considering purchasing a Rush SR as my next track car, but I have a couple of questions before making the leap. I’d appreciate any insights from current owners or those with experience with the car.

1. Safety Concerns – Frontal Crash Structure
The Rush SR looks like an incredible machine, but its compact size and minimal frontal crash structure give me pause. I’ve read that it features a front aluminum crash box, anti-intrusion panels, and optional upgrades like a halo-style roll bar. However, how does this translate to real-world safety in the event of a frontal collision? Is there enough protection compared to something like a Radical or SRF or other lightweight track cars?

2. Realistic Running Costs
The advertised running cost of ~$120/hour for the Rush SR is very appealing, especially compared to something like a Radical SR3, which can run $300–$400/hour when factoring in engine rebuilds and consumables. For those who own or operate a Rush SR, how close is that $120/hour figure to reality? Does it include typical consumables like tires, brakes, and fuel? Or are there hidden costs (e.g., frequent maintenance or rebuilds) that push it closer to Radical territory?

I’m trying to balance performance, safety, and operating costs before committing. Any advice or firsthand experiences would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

New Owner based in SoCal

Hi everyone, I’m new here…just purchased chassis #199 from Rush California! I’m very excited to pick the car up and plan to take it to Buttonwillow next month.

This will be my first “track only” car and my first time towing a car to the track..definitely appreciate any trailer recommendations that would fit in a standard garage ideally if anyone has any ideas!

My most recent car is a 2007 Krypton Green Lotus Exige S that’s been heavily modified…and I’ve been fortunate to have had many other fun cars throughout the years.

What can I say? I love lightweight cars so the Rush SR caught my attention ever since I saw one for the first time at a track day at Chuckwalla. I’ve been obsessed ever since and am very excited to now own one!

I look forward to meeting more owners, but just wanted to stop and say hi.

P.S. Do I need to do anything to get access to the owner forums?

Best,

Colin

GridLife RSR Registration

GridLife are moving to a hard card system for drivers and crew for the 2025 series. This includes the driver and crew. The driver is also required to have a GridLife competition license.

These take time to process and GridLife requires your application to be made 30 days prior to your first event. The Driver license fee is $125 for GridLife members and $200 for nonmembers. There is a $100 late processing fee for license applications after 30 days prior to the event. Membership is $69 so it saves you some.

Registration for the series is open and GoldPass entries will include 2 crew hard cards that will otherwise have to be purchased. GoldPass is available for anyone wanting to enter 4 or more events, payments can be split so that you do not have to pay for all at one time.

Driver licensing applications will be opened on February 7th. Several of their events are already sold out in other classes and we expect some of the GridLife RSR events will also sell out.

If you or drivers on your team plan to attend any of the events, we encourage you to get registered now so that licensing and hard cards can be processed and your entry secured.

GridLife Membership can be purchased here: https://www.grid.life/gridlife-membership

GoldPass registration is available here: https://www.grid.life/news/2025/1/gridlife-gold-pass-2025-75nbp

Single event registration is available by visiting the event page here: https://www.grid.life/events

New Rush SR Chassis #200 Loaded w Enclosed Trailer

Toying with selling my Rush, just picked up a GT4RS Clubsport to run at the Monticello series as I don’t have time to do Gridlife this year as planned.

Car is a 2024 Build, Chassis #200. Took delivery in October, did a proper 1hr break in at a private day at Englishtown, 1 hr HPDE at NJMP and has been parked since. It’s currently at my garage at Monticello Motor Club but I can bring it to NJ if more convenient for viewing. Total 2.3hrs on the car.

Current build MSRP is $61k the way it sits + 9 months wait. I’ll sell for $60k.

Options include:
Race Spec
Halo Trident
Aim MXS + LMP Wheel
5lb Sfi fire suppression
Single tank w Hydramat
Sabelt Harness + Large seat
Raw roll bar strobe

Added since purchase:
SR High Downforce Splitter new in box
Billet Case Saver

I have a bunch of extras as well - oil, filters, air filters, chain lube, body panel stands, jacks, etc. included in sale.

Also have a 2024 EZ Hauler Aluminum Trailer 7.5x18 with finished interior + e track specifically for the Rush. $10k for trailer. Willing to do a package deal if wanted for both car and trailer for $65k

SOLD!!!

Avoid the price spike and the 9 month wait and get a practically new Rush SR.

I just took delivery in October and it’s seen only 4 total days on track in HPDE. I had a personal situation pop up and it needs to go very soon.

There is zero wrong with it and I just added Nuke Air Jacks (low pressure so you don’t need a huge tank at 10000000psi you only need 90psi)

It’s never seen dirt or been off track at all.

Again only selling it because of a personal situation.

New it would cost 63k plus tax plus a 9 month wait. With just spending 5k on the freshly installed air jacks so I’d like to get 57k. Questions just let me know.

Options include:
Race Spec package
Medium seat
LMP wheel
Halo (Trident)
AIM MXS dash
AIM Smarty cam
Braille battery
Braille Charger
Fuel mat
5lbs extinguisher
2inch rollbar extension
Strobe light upgrade
Nuke Air Jacks
Rear view camera

Interested in Rush - How many in SoCal?

Hello all,

I’ve been going deep into every rabbit hole I can find for “healthy” fields in club racing in the SoCal/ Cal region. I currently have an nd Miata that’s caged and nearly ready for ST5 with nasa but the field size in SoCal is unfortunately very small. I’ve had some trouble finding any rush cars on the nasa results for the west coast region and was wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction or if anyone has knowledge of how big the field is in SoCal. Any info helps, thank you.

New member - first question

Hey everyone,
My name is Tim - expecting chassis 298 in the spring. One test drive and decision was made for me (thanks...Bruce...i think).
Really enjoy the learning curve of a new car / platform in all regards.
Couple transmision related question I was thinking about that I am sure can get answered here.
- Does the car have a rev limiter?
- Will it accept a downshift into an over-rev situation (i.e. a PDK Porsche will acknowledge the downshift but block/hold the shift until safe).
- Does auto-blip work both up and down?
Really just curious and figured I'd introduce myself after lurking here for a while

P.S. looking for an open trailer if anyone has suggestions

Finally a Rush owner! Chassis #104

Hey everyone, while I already posted in the Facebook group I figured I’d post to the new member thread here as well. I’m David Harvey and I live in Fayetteville, Texas. After following these cars before the first production model was out I finally have one! I picked her up yesterday and am now planning on learning how to take everything apart for maintenance and service over the winter before next season starts. I look forward to seeing y’all out there soon!
