Smarty cam install

My SmartyCam connections were neatly managed within wiring loom / zip-tie right behind the right hand side of the dash (behind the rain light, etc.) and were labeled fairly consistently with their corresponding wire that feeds the SmartyCam Dual 'box' including a specific one labeled CAN. I have since wired in the SmartyCam so will see if I can find some pictures prior to that.

Not sure if my version of wiring is consistent with others but curious if you see something similar.

Thanks. They showed me the connector at the factory today. I'll post a pic when I can. Much easier to get to than I thought.

I was the first to install the dual bullet smarty cam and of course had a few issues...the kit they sell does not include all of the wiring and adapters needed to start. The dual setup pulls more power than the cam expansion port can provide to you need to wire it separately(still use the cam for data). If you have any questions please feel free to call me. 603-568-2225

Thanks for the heads up. Besides connecting the external power was there anything else missing needed to get going? I saw the external mic input is also not included with the standard harness, but I can add that, and not interested in the Ethernet.

Also which dash do you have?

Do you have the dual cam? I needed the AiM Male 5-pin 712 - Male 5-pin 712 CAN Cable, 2M (6.56 ft) part #MC-267-2M which I ordered from Pegasus racing. I have the rear camera on the back bumper so I also ordered a longer camera cable part #MC-606-4.0M

Yea I got the dual. And I see now the dash and the camera harness are both female, how lame. It looks like the single camera comes with the cable you(we) have to order. You'd think they would include it for the price

I'm planning on moving the second one around for fun, on the suspension, underneath etc.

Saved me a lot of frustration. Really appreciate it.

Just to clarify the dual does come with 2 four foot camera cables. I wanted to place the rear cam further than that so I ordered the longer cable.
