Edd, we have not, we are in the midst of some large projects. There appear to to be 3 or 4 commercially available and at prices very competitive with what we could offer. I suggest looking at some of these, it appears you have already found some on the internet. What would be your recommendation? Have you talked with any of those suppliers?

I'll post what I sent ED a while ago for anyone looking to undertake this.

First thing you need to know is the engine is equipped with a thread basically unique to suzuki, so there's very few compatible take offs. (all the ones I found aren't true takeoffs and only rotate the filter 90 degrees.)

Step 1: adapt oil filter thread to common thread.

Step 2: Select a take off adapter compatible with new thread size as well as OEM filter diameter.

Step 3: select a remote mount, this will determine what oil filter you use (wont be the oem type), other considerations are mounting style and possibly space for sensors. (oil temp sensor would be a really nice edition)

Step 4, hoses to go in between.

As always, thank you @John H for the info.

That is "good" information. However........as someone who has just enough mechanical skill and knowledge to get himself in trouble....I would never attempt this modification until I see a completed installation, with a complete list of required components, detailed pics/graphics of the final installation, and a confirmation that it works, without any detrimental effects to the power unit.

It would be SO much better, IMO, if RAW provided us with a "factory approved" remote oil filter system. IMO this would be a seemingly simple solution to a problem with one of the most frequent maintenance items on the car.

I've only changed the oil once in my 10+ hour engine, but it was a serious PITA! I spent $ and too much time prepping for it, and I still ended up with oil on the header wrap that required 30 minutes of monitored engine running to burn the oil off the header wrap so I didn't have to worry about an engine fire during track running.

I realize this is a "first-world" problem.....but it really does seem like something that could be resolved simply and for not much $$?

@John H , you write that " so there's very few compatible take offs. (all the ones I found aren't true takeoffs and only rotate the filter 90 degrees.) " The problem I had with removing the oil filter was that it was so close to the engine block/headers that it was almost impossible to "capture" the oil that came out when I removed the oil filter without it getting onto the headers/wrap. Would the "90 degree" adapter move the filter far enough forward/over to eliminate the "leakage" issue?

Just trying to help.....

For what it's worth, a flexible funnel makes the job a lot cleaner.

This appears to be a decent fitting for running more mainstream filters like the Purolators or a relocator kit.

There's no issue there, I get wanting a tried and true system though.

No, wont help unfortunately. I'm talking about something like this which lets you just move it sideways and clock it. Those are the only style I found which fit the threads from Suzuki.

Yea, I got this but it didn't really help much. I even wrapped the headers in aluminum foil, but it found its way past that, too.

If that device John linked will fit on the RUSH it looks like it could be a solution? It would move the filter away from the engine cases and allow the flex funnel to catch all the oil that comes out when you change the filter? Do you agree?

Bend some sheet metal to accommodate oil changes. Adding a remote filter for convenience sake is stupid on a race car. Taxes the oil pump, fire potential, lines can leak or tear during contact, etc. Personal opinion only.

Part I'd agree with is the oil lines, if you can avoid adding more places where hot ignitable fluid can be sprayed out in an accident, that's a good thing. Especially since you'd likely be mounting it in the sidepod. The again, if the remote filter/lines where taken in an accident, you'd probably already have ruptured the fuel cell.

With the dual tanks it's basically a totally blind removal/installation and it's hard to get anything on the headers to cover the wrap. I would have done the remote but I had always planned to and have remove the header wrap now, makes it bearable enough not to be worth it.
