yet again very impressed with Rush!
I have been painting all types of composites for 40 years when ever we get a customer asking us about cost to paint composites our answer is always the same we prep and paint them by time and materials because you never know just how bad of a product your dealing with.

when we sanded the body of the rush car I was totally blown away 1st by how nice the panels sanded then we found no ugliness hiding under the factory primer.
there was enough primer to give it a good sanding with out breaking thru the primer all over.
a good paint job starts with a good sub straight so all I had to do to get top coat ( color ) on this body was spray one coat of sealer let it flash off for 15 minutes and spraying wet on wet went right to the top coat single stage color.

I'm not happy about the matte black paint I ordered for the stripe on the hood looks more like semi gloss. I will redo the black and use flat black for a better match to the rush decal.

Thank you for your kind words, the difference between the new and old bodywork is night and day. Our vendor does do an awesome job and it’s a huge saving for us time wise. Overall I am very happy with their quality given that these are still fiberglass molds. The RTM process is certainly the way to go. It more than doubles the mold cost but the results speak for them selves.

The paint looks awesome I wish I could single stage to that level. Clear is my savior!

Night and Day I don't think is a sufficient comparison between old body panels vs new ones. At least Homestead batch.

More like Apples to a bowling ball! Entirely different!

New panels are spectacular! Rushed killed it with the new plastics

doing composite work in a very big part of our shops work.
the bug nose , doors and fenders are FG, pretty much the hole Porsche 944's body is all composite, the tilt nose on the Bugeye sprite is also FG.
all took a crap load of work not just to get fitted on the cars but even right down to the prep work to get them painted.

the rush bodies are tops in quality.
