Yes the 2023 engine, is basically the exact same engine with the exception that the throttle bodies no longer have secondary throttle plates and the primaries are electrically driven. It obviously uses a different ECU which also has control over the throttle bodies so we are able to implement the down shift blip without the air cylinder. The ECU is flashed to map the ignition timing so that the power curves of the old vs new are the same. All the changes Suzuki had made were to the low end below 5500 rpm to try and get more low end torque. That is immaterial to us so we cancel it out. The throttle pedal no longer has a throttle cable, a redundant pedal sensor controls the whole thing. The ECU also is now Can interface so we are fine tuning our AIM data interface.

@4SQR - I was just by the shop yesterday, and saw the new engine and electronic throttle. What I would say is that a properly tuned/maintained car it means very very little. What it will do is save some of the throttle cable stretching adjustments that we have to do on a new car. But we have little to no issues downshifting or even upshift when properly adjusted. We will see ultimate reliability of the new system, but like I said very little difference. One nice thing is that now you had a direct measurement of the throttle position for the AIM system.

Thanks for this. Kinda hoped this would be the answer. I did experience the stretching very early but no longer.

Do you think you can get the AIMS steering wheel dash working.

All working well, AIM were a big help in getting the CAN interface working correctly. We have all basic functions working and will be adding more. Aim will have the first release included in their softwar download soon so it will be available to anyone. This will also allow easy access to updates and revisions. The TPPS is working well and interfacing with the ECU along with our the GCU /ECU interface for the quick shift system. The system has now been fully integrated and track tested and now released.

The TPPS integration actually ended up being very clean. It was not simple and took a custom built sensor to get it since Suzuki do not follow the industry standard.
